NatureBee™ Active Manuka Honey
All honey has a mild antibacterial activity because it contains
hydrogen peroxide, produced by an enzyme. However, most honey-makers
destroy the enzyme while heating honey to extract it from barrels.
Active Manuka Honey contains not only hydrogen peroxide but also
a second even stronger antibacterial agent. Both the hydrogen peroxide
and the second antibacterial component unique to honey produced
from manuka (Leptospermum) trees, are kept stable throughout the
entire manufacturing process.
It is said that these antibacterial components together may have
a synergistic action ie, their combined effect is greater than if
used separately. Active Manuka Honey is the only honey that has
been tested for its antibacterial activity and selected for sale
on its level of activity. One of its qualities is its unique ‘drawing
factor’. This soaks liquid and nutrients (which the bacteria
feed on) out of wounds. It also painlessly lifts off dead tissue,
scabs or burnt skin and keeps the wound moist, which aids healing.
Many ailments are improved by the use of Active Manuka Honey: stomach
ulcers, non-healing wounds, external infections, fungal infections,
bacterial infections, burns and eczema. Active Manuka Honey works
successfully on wounds not responding to any other treatment. Use
a small amount on a clean bandage. Change regularly. To help settle
stomachs and help alleviate symptoms of stomach ulcers eat up to
4 tablespoons daily straight from the jar or spread on your bread
or cereal. Not suitable for diabetics.
